History of Bitcoin Cash
The history of Bitcoin Cash is the history of computer networking in general.
Ever since the beginning of networking, computer scientists and mathematicians have tried to figure out how to do networking without trust.
Satoshi Nakamoto was the first person (or group) that came up with a practical solution in 2008.
Prior to 1 August 2017 "Bitcoin Cash" was known as "Bitcoin", at which point the original cryptocurrency underwent a hardfork to avoid adding SegWit and to increase the block size to 8 MB (Bitcoin has the block limit of 1 MB). Both Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin share the same history until the fork. Every Bitcoin balance holder got exactly the same number of Bitcoin Cash at the moment of fork.
